Founded in 1955, Harbert Casting Repair Service has been family-owned and operated for three generations. What began as a small shop at 2nd and Broadway in Denver has grown into a trusted partner for mining, manufacturing, construction, printing, and heavy industry clients across Colorado and beyond.

Our story
Jim Harbert began his career working alongside the construction crews of H.E. Loudermilk, traveling from Colorado to New Mexico to perform critical overnight repairs that kept projects moving forward by morning. His reputation for skill, reliability, and relentless work ethic quickly set him apart.
In 1955, driven by determination and entrepreneurial spirit, Jim founded Harbert Casting Repair Service in Denver, Colorado. His shop became known for solving tough challenges and delivering results customers could trust. Over seventy years later, the company still carries forward Jim’s vision from its current location on Jason Street.
Jim’s legacy is more than a successful business, it is a family tradition of craftsmanship, integrity, and innovation. That tradition continues today through his son Ken and grandson Travis.

As the son of the founder, Ken Harbert grew up immersed in the family business. From an early age, he learned the trade by watching his father in the shop and working side-by-side with skilled machinists. After joining the company full-time, Ken quickly established himself as a problem-solver with deep technical knowledge and a strong commitment to customers.
As the second-generation owner, Ken guided Harbert Casting through years of growth and change. He expanded the company’s services, strengthened its reputation in mining and manufacturing, and carried forward the values of honesty, reliability, and craftsmanship.
Ken’s influence is seen not only in the company’s steady growth but also in the mentoring of the next generation. By teaching and preparing his son Travis, he ensured that Harbert Casting would remain a trusted name for decades to come.

Today, Travis leads the company with a blend of tradition and innovation — honoring the craftsmanship that built the Harbert name while embracing new technologies and expanded capabilities.
